An Hoverboard’s top speed is determined by a few different factors: the wheel size, the electric motors’ power and the safety choices of the company.

Let’s take a look at the most popular models, and chart their individual top speeds. Keep in mind, these are nominal top speeds, and they will be affected by factors such as the terrain’s incline, and the rider’s weight.

Razor Hovertrax Top Speed

The Razor Hovertrax is one of the slower 6.5 inch wheel hoverboards, and can only get up to a top speed of 6 mph (9.6 kph).

Swagway X1 Top Speed

The Swagway X1 is definitely faster when it comes to 6.5 inch hoverboards. Its top speed is 10 mph (16 kph).

Glyro 6.5 inch Hoverboard Top Speed

The Glyro is nice and fast, though not quite as fast as the Swagway. It reaches a top speed of 8 mph (12.8 kph).

Powerboard Hoverboard Top Speed

The Powerboard sports the same 6.5 inch wheels as the Glyro, and it has the same top speed of 8 mph (12.8 kph).

SKQUE 8 inch Turbo Hoverboard Top Speed

The 8-inch wheel version of the SKQUE is by far the fastest Hoverboard available, with a top speed of 13 mph (21 kph) – that’s scary fast!
